HerpetoGuide Pro

A&J Tech ("we," "our," or "us") built the HerpetoGuide Pro app as a field guide for identifying reptiles and amphibians, with species information and habitat data. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

HerpetoGuide Pro is designed to function primarily as an offline reference tool. When you create an account or use online features, we collect the following:

Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and a username to authenticate you and sync your data across devices via our backend provider, Supabase.
Device information: We collect device type, operating system version, and device identifiers to help us improve app stability and serve ads.
Advertising data: Our app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and usage data to serve ads in accordance with Google's privacy policies.
Purchase data: If you make in-app purchases, we process transaction data via RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and premium features. Payment card data is handled by Google Play Billing — we do not store your card information.
Local storage: We store preferences and cached content on your device using local storage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you sync your account.

3. Third-Party Services

This app uses the following third-party services that may collect or process information:

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at developer@strangervoice.net.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data. Supabase provides encrypted data transmission (TLS) and at-rest encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights
